Anonymous asked: What bands do you think will be big in 2012?

I’ve got a lot of time for King Krule (‘Portrait in Black’) , the guy’s only 17 and has incredible potential. I don’t really pay attention to who’s going to be ‘big’ (if you must know, Azealia Banks deserves all the attention), but I’m hoping for big years for the aforementioned Dolfinz and a band from Glasgow called PAWS , if you click on the name there you can check out a bunch of songs. Also, really hope this is the year Errors cross over.

Anonymous asked: Pavement or Nirvana?

This is impossible.

helpmepassthehoursaway asked: dream festival headliners? x

If it’s a total dream, Minutemen and Nirvana.

Otherwise, I’d happily have The Pixies, Wu-Tang Clan and Girls headline Euanfest.

Anonymous asked: Dinosaur Jr or Sebadoh?

People are going to hate me for this, but Sebadoh. It sounds corny, but ‘Harmacy’ helped me through a break-up. I thought Sebadoh were always way more focussed and made better songs, but Dinosaur Jr are great too, of course they are.

lobandwidthh asked: what's your favourite album of this year? (There's a QUESTION about MUSIC, even if it's a rubbish one).

Probably gotta be the Gil Scott-Heron & Jamie xx record, that was mind-blowing. Honourable mentions to Girls, Real Estate, Death Grips, Freddie Gibbs, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks and loads of others. Good haul this year.
