DOLFINZ
Gotta be honest, I didn’t know what to make of this at all when I first heard it. I know this two-piece from school, and the band Pre-Teens they formed after graduating from celebrity hang-out Mackie Academy, it’s a side project littered with lo-fi hiss, reverberating vox and squealing guitars.
Turns out it’s really, really good stuff. Unsurprisingly for a minimalist lo-fi project, there’s a song about weed, cute references to animals and the songs are hella short. But there’s a charm to this that hundreds of bands doing this don’t have that separates Dolfinz from the rest of the school (ha!). Fun, fun music.
